Black Tie to Brunch- 7 Original Looks for Less

Hi Everybody !

Hope you are all having a great week and looking forward to a fabulous weekend.

I wanted to share the outfits I put together this past week. They are all true looks for less and include many affordable items you can purchase immediately from some of my favorite fashionistas on Instagram.

Let’s start with Black Tie Looks :

These dresses ( Guess and White House Black  Market ) were from thredUP.com  ( 70% off retail ) and I paired them with the amazing jewelry from http//dalexandercollections.com . You can find @denis_styles and his line @d.alexander_collections on IG or on Facebook : Dennis Styles . When ordering you are welcome to use my code: JENNQ30 to receive 30% off .

Here are some outfits which I wore to work but I believe they are appropriate for any not so formal occasion.

I love this little black blazer from @candycourtboutique . I’ve had it since the summer and I’ve worn it with dresses, shorts , jeans , skirts , and even to the beach as a cover up. It is the perfect length and I love how the material is not too heavy and not too lightweight.

I paired it with a simple skirt and my favorite graphic tee for a fun look to brighten up my Monday . My students absolutely loved this outfit and told me alllllllllllllll day .

I love the handmade jewelry I received from the lovely Maria @loveishealingaccessories . Proceeds from her line help to support domestic abuse awareness. She has an amazing selection and will even custom make jewelry for you . I love the three bracelets I styled with my Maggy London dress and Target scarf .

I am obsessed with this Dolce Vita bag from the Italian Author / Artist @claudiadisilvio . I wore it with Romeo and Juliett Couture leggings ( from Burlington Coat Factory just a few weeks ago ) and this festive tee shirt from Target . The Statement pearl necklace , charm bracelet , and snake bracelet are all from @d.alexander_collections ( use my code to save ) .

I wore the same necklace and bracelets (love them ) to style this adorable , versatile dress from IG shop @journeyfive .

This last look was totally stay at home , wrap gifts , do not leave the house casual. I found this sweater and scarf about 3 years ago on extreme clearance at Old Navy , back when Fair Isle sweaters were the new big thing. 😉 I still love it and styled it with these adorable golden booties I found a couple of weeks ago at Target.

I also have a bonus 8th look from the amazing @akshfashion of Instagram and of onestopforfashion.blogspot.com/

Look at this gorgeous Ann Taylor dress she found at thredUP.com for only $8.00! I love how she styled it ! So elegant and just so stunning ! Be sure to check out her IG and blog !

Thanks , Friends , for checking this out . Hope it inspires you to have some fun with your wardrobe and create looks that allow you to express yourself .

And one more thought :

Have an amazing weekend , everyone !!!

Love ,

Jennifer xoxo

Ps. Somehow my Instagram account was hacked . I may not be able to post or comment until next Thursday !!!!!!!! 😦

Fun, Festive Holiday Outfit Inspiration

As a kindergarten teacher and a mom of  2 young children, this time of the year can be both magical and also very  overwhelming. I do my best to keep festivities simple and focus on creating special moments and memories for my family.

I always remember how I felt when I was young during this time of year . I loved all of the Italian Holiday Traditions but mostly just enjoyed being surrounded by family.

Our major holiday celebration always took place on Christmas Eve at my Grandparents’ house. My mom, grandma, and all the and aunties would prepare the traditional Italian Feast of a gazillion fish dishes. Or maybe 12. Or maybe 18. There was always a lot of fish.

This was when we would wear our absolute best outfits of the year.

My mom would always make matching dresses for me and my sister. They often involved bows , lace , ruffles , golden buttons, and  lots of bright red patterns and fabrics .
I still like to wear all of those things at this time of the year. They remind me being little , and of the feelings of anticipation and celebration that were so abundant in my family.

These are a few examples of outfits I recently wore , and yes , I probably will repeat them as the big day gets even closer.

Lots of warm accessories , of course, because :

But , with a dad as a photographer , it’s important to be warm , cozy , and also camera ready. My children learned this early on and love their photo sessions with Papa.

I’m actually not sure which outfit I will actually wear on Christmas Eve this year … I’m thinking of this red dress –

What do you think ?

Well, we still have time to decide 😉

Have fun in all you do as you create your own special moments ( and outfits ) this season.

Thanks so much !!!!!

Love ,
